One-Stop Service

One-Stop Service for Opening New Office in Japan

Okada’s Office provides one-stop service to an expatriate manager or other staff of the office to be newly opened in Japan with the personal matters such as working visa and recruitment of local staff and the other matters such as business license and office property selection.

Okada’s Office can provide different types of services which are listed below:

1.  Application for Certificate of Eligibility(COE or Visa)for the expatriate staff members dispatched from the overseas parent company to stay and work in Japan.

As Okada has an “application agency license” of the Immigration Bureau of Japan, he can handle all necessary procedures for immigration application without the direct involvement of the expatriate manager, which means the immigration permission might be available before his or her relocation to Tokyo.

2.  Establishment of a Japanese corporation or branch or rep-office in Japan according to the policy of the parent company, including registration with the Legal Affairs Bureau of Japan.

This is a standard job of Administrative Procedures.

3.  Application of license or permission, or notification for the business to be conducted in Japan.

Whether the company is a Japanese one or a foreign one, if it plans to do business in Japan, it must obtain the necessary license or approval, or make a notification in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. What kind of procedure is required depends on the business, so it will be dealt with individually.

For example, a tax office License is required to manufacture and sell liquor, and a public health center Permission is required for the restaurant business.
These procedures are the typical jobs of Administrative Procedures.

4.  Application for immigration permission for the family members of the expatriate.

Okada can handle this procedure without the involvement of family members, since he has the special license mentioned in 1 above.

5.  Selection of candidates of local staff members including secretary.

As Okada served as president for eight years for Tokyo office of a US leading insurance company, he had plenty of experience with recruiting quality Japanese staff who were familiar with the management of an American company. Okada might select some appropriate candidates of the local staff for the new office.

6.  Finding the right property for the office in Tokyo or other cities.

As Okada is a qualified specialist in real-estate transactions, he can find the office property in a place suitable for business development in Tokyo or other cities.

7.  Other matters related to daily life in Tokyo or other cities such as residence, school, hospital, shopping, etc.

As Okada worked at overseas offices for 16 years in total, he can take care of foreign people more appropriately in Tokyo or other cities based on his experience of living abroad.
